Creating connections in the medical device and community economic organizations is an activity that we pride ourselves in. We love to make connections, provide beneficial relationships for others and even creating symbiotic relationships between individuals and organizations. So, how exactly do we do this?
While attending a recent event at the Purdue Research Park in Indianapolis, I was informed of a “synchronicity of events”, as stated by Harlon Wilson of Medical Animatics. It started with a single introduction that I made between Harlon Wilson and Joe Kitterman (180Skills).
According to Harlon Wilson,
“Thanks to the introduction Creo Quality made between myself and Mr. Joe Kitterman, I learned of the approaching startup of his new business, 180Skills. As I learned of Joe’s ideas for the launch of the budding business venture it was déjà vu as I recalled the early start of Medical Animatics and the thrill of getting a new venture underway. The strategist in me immediately turned to logistics as I starting thinking of the steps he must be going through in preparation for getting his new venture off the ground.  Only weeks before, I had the opportunity to meet Mr. John Hanak and attended a tour of Purdue Research Park.“
Harlon was able to make “the connection of Joe’s needs with John’s [Hanak] offerings and made the introductions which resulted in 180Skills finding their home at Purdue Research Park.”
Subsequently, these interactions allowed for an interaction between Joe Kitterman and John Hanak where they helped each other in fulfilling their business needs.
Even the smallest of connections can provide huge opportunities!
