I met with the client a couple times, we had a few phone conversations, exchanged several emails, and agreed to terms with a signed proposal. The next step was to schedule a project kick-off meeting. But we struggled to find a time where both parties was available.
So, I decided to do something this past week that I’ve only done a couple of times. I walked away from a project. I didn’t just leave the client hanging. I connected them to Nicole Bickett of VisionBridge. Looks like VisionBridge will meet with the client and take on the project. The opportunity was a decent fit with Creo Quality’s capabilities, but an excellent fit with VisionBridge.
Walking away from a project is never easy. Sometimes, though, it’s for the best.
