May 14, 2009 – IU Kelley School Strategic Collaborations

Dear Life Sciences Friend,

The fourth conference in the Indiana Life Sciences Collaboration series is just a month away!   The Strategic Collaborations conference is Thursday, May 14^th at the University Place Conference Center on the IUPUI campus in Indianapolis.  Please note: this conference is on a Thursday, not on a Friday as the conferences usually have been in the past.

 

The Center for the Business of Life Sciences at the IU Kelley School of Business along with conference sponsors Ice Miller LLP., Indiana Economic Development Corporation, IU School of Medicine, and Purdue University have been working together to provide attendees with a great lineup of speakers.  These experts include representatives from the following organizations: Cook Inc., BioCrossroads, Clarian Health Partners, Purdue University’s Bindley Bioscience Center, IU School of Medicine, Marcadia Biotech, CS-Keys, and NICO Corporation. We thank Harry Gonso of Ice Miller for securing our keynote speakers Bill Cook, founder and CEO of Cook Inc. and Richard DiMarchi, Linda and Jack Gill Chair in Biomedical  Sciences at Indiana University and the co-founder of Ambrx and Marcadia Biotech.

Since the last Collaboration Conference on Business Partnerships, I’ve identified my first doom loop and applied the better responses provided by Jon Hughes.  Using David Thompson’s guidance, we’ve successfully framed a decision to resolve a yearlong design challenge in a matter of weeks.  Attending has definitely provided a return on the time invested, so thanks again for the valuable insights, advice and tools.
