Indianapolis based Eli Lilly acquired a San Diego start-up biotech in August 2008. Back in 2004, they also acquired a SD based biotech. It appears as though Lilly is establishing a biotech center of excellence in San Diego. There isn’t much news coming from Lilly or other sources about these initiatives. I’m curious how or if there is a tie with Indiana based BioCrossroads and their LINX initiative.
