Device Talk posted a summary of a recent study from HLB about the future of medical devices. Here are some of the predictions:
- Self-training of medical devices. Technologies will mimic those used in the Wii and iPhone.
- Companies will move a “Green†business model that emphasizes reduction of medical waste.
Some of the trends that will continue include:
- Movement of medical device from hospital to home.
- Creation of smaller, handheld and portable devices.
- Increasing use of wireless technology that eliminates the need for expensive cables.
