Okay, this is not life science related. But it is an important cause for the Martinsville, IN community. I’m part of the Morgan County Recreational Alliance (MCRA). On February 21, 2009, we have holding a fund raising event for youth soccer and football fields. I coach YMCA soccer and our practice and game fields are virtually non-existant. Martinsville has zero facilities dedicated to youth soccer. The youth football program is not much better. They have one game field that is shared by youth football and two middle schools. The Funds for Fields initiative is intended to convert ~30 acres of farmland into soccer and football fields.
