New Jersey Is A Biotech Hub (really?)

I recently posed a question about emerging U.S. markets for medical devices. While catching up on my reading, I came across an interesting article about New Jersey.

“New Jersey is considered one of the top five biotechnology clusters in the world, with the number of biotechnology companies nearly tripling in the State in the past decade. New Jersey is also home to more pharmaceutical companies than any other state.”

I admit that I have not considered New Jersey as a big player in this market. But after reading this article, I remembered that Becton-Dickinson and Johnson & Johnson have sizeable presences (among others) in NJ.
