Time To Move On

Creo Quality has invested a great deal of time and sweat equity in some communities. Why? Two reasons that are related:

  1. The communities desperately need help (whether they realize it or not).
  2. Creo Quality has the skills, abilities, drive, and determination needed to turn the community around.

However, the community’s actions indicates they are not ready for change. So be it. We’re moving on.

I’ll vent for a few moments. It’s been very frustrating working with this community. The “leaders” talk about economic development and growth. But they just don’t get it. Their focus is infrastructure and roads. I call their approach a  “field of dreams” tactic: if the community builds it, the jobs will come. The “leaders” also talk about life sciences and wanting the community to be in that industry. Sorry, but the community is NOT ready for life sciences.

Okay, I feel better. This experience has been invaluable for Creo Quality. It reinforces our value proposition and our core focus: assist organizations [seriously] pursuing life science opportunities. We believe the strong suit will be helping businesses in this industry. Our niche exhibits the following characteristics:

  • $10M or less in annual revenue
  • >50% of their business comes from non-life science industries
  • non-life science revenues and profits have been stagnant or in decline
  • company has products and services that could be applicable to the life sciences industry
